Didn't know that, Lisa... Awful :-(

Some years ago, we went to Ireland for a golf trip, end of May.

There was an invasion of June bugs on the greens and tee departures! They climbed on us and ate us!
Nothing to say about our frenetic dances and hurry for driving and putting...

      Hilarious moments :-D

Wonderful as jewelry...horrible little pests in the flesh !
    8. kyratango kyratango, 9 years ago
Eek! Those big juicy larvae... hate these living pests!
As to say humans aren't the only to destroy nature... but all is about evolution and cycles, lot of species disappeared before our emerging as predominant beeing ;-/

We are hit hard by the Japanese beetle in Wi they eat everything and are horrid to get rid of ! All the flowers and leaves off tree's . I put something n lawn 2 times this year to kill larva but last summer I actually hand picked them and threw in soapy water , no sprays kill kill . Nasty critters they arrived here a few years ago .

It does look real hence the negativity to a bad bug, but your version is a real beauty, K.

They are all beautiful bugs and your new one is special in gold.
I hope you wear them all together - imagine the comments!

Hehe, I'm VERY NEGATIVE too towards living ones, lol! Lisa, please, keep on our discussions on our posts ;-)

Manikin, sorry to hear that you got too an invasion... Thanks for your input :-)

Racer, I wear them on my knitted hat :-) As you, I love the grouping by theme!

After all the discussions about these beetles have read, I'm happy with the beautiful substitution of it in the form of jewelry. And certainly this one from Kyra.
