      It's an antique milk bottle opener, for prying out the cardboard disc at the top of the bottle.

      We actually went outside once-up-on-a-time, to get fresh milk by the door, that only had cardboard seals pressed in the bottle mouths. Oh well !! Nothing seemed wrong with the idea back then ! LOL !!!

      Discs like this, popular into the 1940s before milk bottles began to change somewhat, and these discs were almost eradicated in the 1970s:

      These openers were often given away by dairies or stores.

      They worked fairly well. Wax versions were reusable.
