    This object was bought in a charity shop a few years ago, I know absolutely nothing about it as purpose country of origin etc.
    The circular part is about 3.5 in diameter and the handle is a further 3 in
    It is quite heavy being solid metal about 3 or 4 mm thick
    The reverse side is plain
    If I had to guess I would think it was bronze, seems too heavy for pewter

    Any ideas what it is, or where it might come from?
