I found this at a garage sale for $9.99. I think it is a copy of a travel poster. I cannot find any other copies of the Internet just the original posters. Does anyone know the value of something like this before I give it away as a gift? Thanks.

That great ceci would love to see it . Thor Morrow lived near were i grew up. Most of his paintings im told ended up in Ontario and the eastern U.S. since his passing his paintings have sky rocketed. He worked as a artist in Hollywood for a while and worked on the set with James Dean. Im looking for any sea scapes of his.

I will post a pic tomorrow. I am surprised I bought it since it is a portrait and painted on velvety fabric that was glued onto artist board. I date it to the 1950's maybe. I bought it because I thought it was well done and the eyes were amazing. He seems very melancholy in the painting plus it was only $5.00. Do you have any of his art? I live in Ontario.

No but I've seen quite a bit he had a one bedroom house ten minutes from the Fortress of Louisburg so most of his paintings were bought by tourists. He worked as a commercial artist for coke a cola in New York. When he was young and taught painting on the side. Some of his work looks cartoonish.

I seen six of his oil colors on canvas last fall all were in the 3 to 5 thousand dollar range.
