OK, just got this in a thrift shop in the New Orleans area. St Christopher's medal on a hammered spoon bowl, with rhine stones, and chain. Not sure if it is to wear or hang in the car, Christian travelers protection, or voodoo protection, volcano god, from violence and chaos. Some people feel strange vibes when they handle this. Some people think this is creepy, I think is is kind of interesting. Any ideas?
This is a St. Christopher medallion. I have never seen one with paste crystals around it. I don't find it to be at all creepy - interesting, yes!
I think somebody wanted to have something "different" and made their own either for themselves or a friend. How long is the chain? Looks like a chain meant for a sink plug.
Thanks, it's long enough to go around a neck, but the spoon is big, large soup spoon size, and the chain is quite large. Yes, sink stopper type, but much larger gauge.
Around here, St Christopher is also used as the volcano god in santeria. Some people get strange vibes from it, but I don't.
