We had six chairs and two captain's chairs, a buffet and a table. My Dad's ex ruined many of the chairs and part of the table. We are trying to replace the chairs if possible. This is the only one left. It is a mahogany color. I have included a picture of the chair, the chair top, the chair bottom, and the buffet. We all grew up hiding under the table which had a massive stretcher on the bottom. Favorite memory is the big dime we used to get for dusting and waxing the intricate details of the entire set! I thought no one would want it because it was so huge ornate and clunky, but my son and his girlfriend love it. I would like to find more chairs. A "furniture fix-it" guy told us the chairs could not be fixed and they were "a dime a dozen" so it wasn't worth the cost. Now I cannot find even one or anyone who has any idea even who may have made it. Mom and Dad bought it in the mid-sixties from an older woman who said she had had it about thirty years. If you recognize it, please let me know!
