I bought this stein in Trier in 1981. The design is of a First World War soldier who is garrisoned in Trier. The bottom panel reads "Erinnerung all meine Dienstzeit". The stein is made of glass and the lid of pewter. The lid contains a barrel chime which plays Musse Denn and is wound up via the Alpine horn.
