This 1901 Victoria half penny coin was in a old glass jar with other pennys that belonged to my grandmother .She was very thrifty and saved everything.I am particularly fond of this coin with queen Victoria.I have included some vintage costume jewellery.

I've used the old Eng. pennies to swivel over recessed adjusting bolts on beds I've made. Of course, you have to drill a tiny hole for a brass staple, but they look great & are cheap enough.

Many older beds had bolts to connect the side boards to the bedpost which required a large exposed hole in the posts for assemble & tightening when loose. The pennies make swivel covers for those holes.
