Interesting Garage Sale Pick

I was lucky to pick this item from my next door neighbor who is participating in our Community's garage starting tomorrow .This was used at the foot of the bed to keep comforters on.It is heavy wrought iron and I was quite taken by the design of it probably Italian design.The lady purchased it in the early 1960s
