I was given this by a Justin Boot employee back in the 1980s and asked for my opinion. (Justin was quite a company at the time.) The place I worked was next door to the factory outlet on Vickery Blvd. I used to check out the boots over lunch hours.

I have to believe they did not proceed with the venture because I have been unable to find record of another holster. The printing on the inside is difficult to read. Something about rough leather is just not conducive to legible print. I believe it states "1A155 Justin Utility" but the rest is a lost cause. The reference to "utility" could be the design as it is about a utilitarian as I have ever seen. It could also refer to a division of Justin Industries. (Like Acme Brick).

At the time it had to be made in Texas. This is prior to the purchase of Tony Lama boot and well before Berkshire Hathaway took it to Mexico.

It is shown with a 1911 because I had one handy. It will also hold a Colt SAA. (Or clones of either one.)

It is fabric laminated to some pretty substantial leather. The straps appear strong enough to harness a mule. This would make a great hunting holster as it would offer a great deal of protection to the entire handgun. It would also ride low enough to allow you to mount a horse. (The downside being it may take both hands to "clear leather".) I have never used it.

Has anyone seen or heard of another Justin holster?

You got me one this one ! Certainly not for a 1911 style auto. angle of the flap resembles more the old revolvers up to even the Brit. Webley. Then the bottom "barrel" of the holster seems made for something wider.
I can state, as a fact, that I'm confused too ! Of course I've noticed that I get confused more often as yrs. pass !
