This large print was found today in a local thrift.
Now I'm trying to find out more about what I have here, including if I scored or not!!
As I really like the subject matter, it's kind of a moot point, but still nice to know!!
Here's what I've learned so far,

The career of Claude Théberge provides a prime example of how time works in magical and often unforeseen ways …

This Canadian artist, a graduate of Quebec City’s École des Beaux-Arts, won bursaries from both the Canada Arts Council and the Quebec Government and attented the greatest art and design schools in France.

He captured the top prize in a United Nations competition involving 65,000 graphic artists from throughout the world.

Over many years he divided is time between Paris and Montreal, all the while exploring the full range between pure abstraction and hyper-realism.

He designed murals, stained glass windows and sculptures for a host of public buildings and created paintings found in prestigious collection : Aérospatial, France; l’Oréal/Lancôme; Montreal Museum of Contemporary Art; Royal British Columbia Museum; Toronto World Trade Center; First Canadian Bank; Esso, Canada; Kennedy Collection, U.S.A., etc. Through the years, he took part in solo or group shows held in Paris, London, Copenhagen, Berlin, Madrid, Moscow, Tokyo, New York, Chicago and elsewhere.

Not surprisingly, the man who once had the opportunity to be a protégé was dedicated to mentoring talented young artists.

Claude Théberge passed away, on Thurday May 15 2008, in Montreal.

I had already heard of the artist, as I had a poster of his, so when I saw the signed, limited number print, it was a no brainer. It will need a good clean-up , then up on the walls she goes!!
    Cheers

I do love his work with the flying scarves from around that time, 94. The scarves are a real eye catcher, and the pastel colors remind me of some of the great art deco masters. I see his work shown on liveauctioneers.com in the sold section so it seems he worked in acrylic paints and a number of his works have been sold, but from what I see they are the originals, and not the prints.

Thanks for the nice comment and great info Phil, I knew this would catch your eye!!
It does have great movement and I appreciate the skill of the painter in his use of colour and light and motion!
Just wish I could nail down more info on his print market.
I'll have to look up the live auction info as well!
Cheers buddy, nice having your insight back on a regular basis!!
