I have not found an exact match on this 8" desk fan but it does have the exact cage patterns as some larger GE fans. With a nice solid cast iron base I knew this was a name brand fan. The bullet style motor housing became popular in the late 1940s and 1950s along with the sheet metal.
This fan has the original cord and as it has many spots with bare wire showing so I have never tested it. All my other fans work so I will leave this one as is.
It is missing the GE badge which would be on the center of the cage. Having paid $15 for this the badge would probably costs more than the fan.
Thank you

The gift-shop at our city museum, before they remodeled, had a dozen antique fans on shelves around it. They weren't for sale, but they were displayed.
Thank you very much SpiritBear. What I like about antique stores is that they are like museums but they are for sale.
Thank you very much Nicefice. Good to see you back.
