My grandmother gave me this when I was 9 years old. It was more than likely from the 1940's era. Was wondering if anyone knows anything about this style. Where it may have been from etc?

It's ok, but sometimes you can see that it looks like a certain maker's work and that can lead you to an answer....or not. :)

really interesting, Ive just bought a 4 coloured version of your grans brooch. I had wondered if it were aert nouveau/deco, you've just made me very happy...what makes you think it 1940's. I had thought it was earlier. As I doubt they would have produced this during the war years. Is it possible she got it in or from the 1920's?

Lovely colour the pink one. Hold on to it tightly. I hope you dont need to sell it ever...

thanks Anne :) it could be earlier, it could have been her mothers, I was only guessing lol, I'm not good at these things. She gave it to me in about 1978. and it already had the discoloured stone, so yes, you're probably right, probably much earlier.
I love it too, and I wont ever sell it. :)
