    MORE INFORMATION WANTED:

I have this china sailor man jar, which I assume may be for tobacco storage or something similar. It's 3" high, solid base, no makers marks, in fantastic condition, no chips, cracks etc. The sailor hat lifts off to reveal the storage compartment. The hat is inscribed with 'HMS Nelson'. Over the top of those letters when looking really carefully on a certain angle, it also appears to read 'HMS Draken' etched over the top of Nelson. It's pretty hard to read.

The only markings are these two scribbles inside the hat and the base. The first part looks to be a '3', but I can't be sure.

My question is, who possibly made this item, the country of origin and how old is it? I've had so much conflicting information. Thanks for any help.

HMS Nelson (1814) was a 120-gun first rate launched in 1814. She was converted to screw propulsion and rearmed to 90 guns in 1860, and was handed over to the government of the Dominion of Victoria, Australia, in 1867. She was sold in 1898 as a storage hulk, and later used as a coal hulk, and was scrapped in 1928.

HMS Nelson (1876) was a Nelson-class armoured cruiser, launched in 1876. She became a training ship in 1902. and she was sold as scrap in 1910.

HMS Nelson (28) was a Nelson-class battleship. She was launched in 1925, served during World War II, and was scrapped in 1949.

It is HMS Drake. There have been 19 HMS Drake's.
