This pretty Bohemian pitcher from late 19th century is one of my (many) favourites. A. Stellmacher produced fanciful, sculptural creations noted for their fine design and quality. Many feature applied natural motifs, like the bamboo like handle of this jug with a bumblebee. The designs reflect the elements of Art Nouveau or Secession. His factory was located in Trnovany, (today Czech Republic), in a kaolin-rich area with a thriving pottery/porcelain industry.
