It has a total of 4 legs with holes to screw or bolt down- each leg is one piece and they will swivel in any direction.
there was a name plate on one of the ends but it has been wore away i did see in bottom left u.s.a thats it.
The top piece that slides on two rails on the main top piece there are these numbers. - 106 573 A
And underneath that in the picture that the piece is taken off it says this on like a sharpening stone or some kinda of replaceable piece.-

I was guessing maybe a tile cutter at 1st.. I'm back taking a closer look & am really confused now. The "blade" is graduated to adjust horizontally & up & down. I can truthfully say, "Me not know Mon !".
Oh ! Welcome to CW, aka CyberAsylum.
Thanks.. the top piece like the square doesnt move other than slide but in the middle that center thing you can push in...
They made sewing machine and shoe machine parts. A pic of the bottom of the sliding part you removed would help.
If you press the lever-like part on the green "handle" does it possibly lift out of the silver sliding carriage? The handle appears to have a plate with two bolts that might clamp a blade against a rest (think wood plane blade) and the handle would be inserted into the slide carriage and moved back & forth to hone the blade on the triangular stone. (???)
no the handle is fixed there are screws on top tghat loosen only so you can slide round bars out .
OK THE HANDLE PART DOES LIFT OUT OF THAT CARRIAGE WERE DO I ADD MORE PICTURES ?
I think UncleRon has it figured out. Honing planner blades ? I'm thinking longer power planners. Well, Antique Roadshow is about over & I can sleep instead of trying to figure this out ! LOL! As you know, you can poste 4 pix. You can go to "EDIT" to remove & replace images. This was a good one Ellis. Some of us here with deranged minds like to figure out these, "WHAT IS THIS?" Bonne nuit!
Ellis, please don't take this the wrong way, no disrespect, mockery or anything negative intended, but could you please correct the spelling of WANDERING to WONDERING???!!! I know I'm being lame and stupid about this, but I've seen the misspelling now for a month, and, as a former English teacher, it's driving me batty!!! You can delete my comments either before or after correcting the spelling. Again, nothing negative intended. [;>)))
