I spent yesterday going through a one gallon ziploc bag of broken jewelry. I did find a Beau-Ster sterling and enamel pin in perfect condition, as well as 2 pairs of Monet earrings.

Of the jewelry that needed repair: One Marvella jadeite glass brooch, missing 6 faux pearls (4 were in the bag) and the bottom 5th of the jadeite was missing. I replaced the missing part with some green jadeite beads I had, then I reconstructed and filed the pieces to conform. I'll probably etch a little on it today.

There is a mystery sterling flower 6/8" with pale blue rhinestones. I had no blue stones, but I found clear rhinestones in the bag, fortunately the missing rhinestones were opposite each other, so the two clear rhinestones are symmetrical, which goes with this pin-- kind of, good enough for me to wear.

Also, a mystery scarf pin--fangs on the back?-- silver-tone and rhinestone, replaced missing rhinestones.

Finally, the starburst brooch which had a cheap, scratched pink stone in the center, also missing rhinestones. I almost put this brooch in the scavenge pile, but upon second glance, I noticed that it was just in need of TLC. I tested the awful stone in the middle, plastic. Since it was a scrapper anyway, why not replace the stone. I had a carnelian from an old pair of earrings, and voila, wearable and attractive.

Anyway, that was my $5.00 gamble. Any clues as to the provenance of the Starburst, flower pin, or the scarf clip would be greatly appreciated.

Awesome repairs! I can't even notice what have been done to the jadeite! I'd love to have more details about its repair :-)
As you perhaps know, I love to "kyratise" my damaged pieces, a full bag as you found would be very exciting!

Thanks kyratango, Efesgirl, nutsabotas6. It is gratifying to receive compliments from the pros.

kyratango, thanks for the link. I sat down at about noon, next thing I know it is 7:00. I love being busy like that. I am about to turn some lone earrings into brooches.

Kyratango, I just happened to have 2 green glass beads that I broke into pieces and then arranged them on the pin mimicking the contours of the design. After the glue had set, I took a metal file and carefully ground it down to conform with the pin, This morning, I started etching the repair with an exact knife.
