I am sure I have spent much more time reviewing these images than anyone else. and by the way these did come as a set. zoom slightly on Marys brooch - you can see the diamond points,, the brooch is in the boston museum of fine arts given to Mary @1860 , as for Tad- he was made an honorary soldier by his father, his usual attire was military type - Also Tad has a gold ring on his hand- that does show in other images of Tad. I am rather sure not many young boys could afford such a luxury , as stated I have spent more time studying these images than anybody,,, the white speck was just an impurity on the glass and has long since been removed- and quite frankly his mole does show. as stated these came from near Evansville- near lincolns first northern home and yes they had family nearby that in all likelihood would have access to his photo- actually these images rather authedicate each other. it appears that a lot of people do not believe there can be an unknown Lincoln- I guess that's because they have not seen them,,, as for lincolns hair -part, his hair was parted both ways- look at a five dollar bill. I am quite sure if these were in your possession you would not part with them. myself ! I can see them in a museum eventually . have a great day- researching the other points I brought up. Jim

sorry- but these actually were not submitted for your approval . of course you can have an opinion, other people have theres also. these were posted for general purpose of showing people what is out there if you look hard enough. after all they are MINE--- not really your problem to get worked up over- LOL have a great day

ha! just an opinion from a party that has not studied the images - and I SAY THEY ARE THE lINCOLNS- and John W Booth taken by w g pierce providence r.i. so chew on that a while oh- and have a nice day

Ha ! there you go- the key words- Rather Quickly- just as I suspected ! I've spent - hours - days weeks studying these- even down to the book-mark being possible springfield farewell speech---- marys brooch--- tads ring-- tads military type shirt,,, actually I had purchased one supposedly booth image after I acquired the lincolns--- not cheap but I wanted it,, then strangely a couple weeks later I ran across another- I thought what the hell- that's Booth so I bought that one- it had a label inside for w g pierce photography providence r.i. the booths mostly lived in this area- this one came from santa rosa calif. actually it was rumored that booth had escaped to California- not touching that one- but that's where the photo came from

yes- and I to have a problem with people that think they know everything, once was a saying- can't see the forest for the trees,, hell - they had a Lincoln image a while back- they were making a big deal out of,,, looked more like a tree stump in a field,,, none-the-less--- to them its a big deal---- actually there has been notable interest in these--- contrary to your opinion. glty,,,

blunder- lincolns beard-- I said- Lincoln with springfield farewell address feb 1861,,, you stated- Lincoln clean shaven till after he went into office,,, nope--- Lincoln was fully bearded when he left springfield feb 11 1861. it would seem I have more credits than discredits. your mind still made up !LOL!

Brunswick ---- I am really -really disappointed with myself- a couple of ambrotypes I have let slip thru my fingers, one of mary- a little younger-and one with a photo of a soldier in uniform that I strongly suspect may have been her brother, I am almost sure the buyer did not know the sitter in the image,, I did save the image tho
