I came home empty handed today so....Here's the third installment from "Gems of Costume Jewelry" by Gabriele Greindl. First we have rhinestone bracelets. All these are sterling silver and by Dowsons, Weiss, Trifari, and TKF circa 1935-40. Next the "Art Deco " era all unsigned circa 1935-1940. The third picture are all signed Weiss floral pieces in metal and colored glass circa 1950. Finally, I know it's a little off season but this was a nice collection of Christmas Tree Pins. The two almost identical ones in the third row that look like pixelated video game sprites are Weiss and quite valuable, all circa 1930-1940. Enjoy ! -Mike-

top left middle one in light blue tho the inside is all purple stones. Love the beautiful art deco shapes in the second photo.
Thank you Phil :)....I figured that some members may actually have some of these pieces in their own collections. Much of this book contains unsigned jewelry so it's not a lot of help in that respect but the pictures are worth a thousand words !
Thanks Lisa..I didn't realize this book would be so popular. It is a gorgeous book and my pictures only hint at the quality of the photography. I wish I could post the whole book but that might require at least a months worth of posts. I love how each chapter has a B/W photo of a movie star or a vintage model wearing fashions and that chapters jewelry. The Necklace and Bracelet chapter has Marilyn Monroe holding a handful of her "best friends" even if they are just costume and not real diamonds.
Thanks Val...it's an older book and I'm surprised it's still available even if only used. It's worth every penny too and wait till you see it in person ! :)
Wouldn't it be something to try and find every piece in this book Lisa...or at least try. I'm sure they created more than one of everything in here. You'd be duplicating the author's collection. It would probably take a lifetime and a huge amount of money though. :)
Interesting that you commented about unsigned pieces as I was looking at the photos and thinking they would all be signed! I may have to look for this book, too! Thanks for sharing, Mike. :)
That's what I thought as well Katherine but unsigned is not always a bad thing. I would say it's 50-50 in this book. Some were probably ID'd from ads and the achieves of the makers.
Yes..I tried really hard to win that huge Powerball lottery last month. I bought one ticket..lol :)
