I was given this beautiful lamp. The plug looks very old but I am not sure the year, make, and material. Does anyone out there recognize it?

hi, Welcome -- Wonder IF the glass part is Vannes Crystal Glass? No sure, just throwing that out there. Wonder if the LAMP/shade part is a newer marriage to it as kinda does not look right. Check for any labels on lamp bulb holder area, or even ( gently ) look under the felt on the bottom. Very Pretty!!
