So I bought this little nearly empty bottle of vintage perfume because it smelled nice and the bottle was so shapely. I couldn't find out any information on it so posted a question on my usual go-to site for perfumes, Fragrantica. Fascinating discovery! This perfume was apparently created specifically to promote a song, Suspicion, written by Norman Greene, back in 1952 (78 rpm disc), 3K perfume samples were sent to disc jockeys as a promo to entice them into playing the record, a tour was launched at the same time. I will post a link to an eBay listing of the record below, it has a link to a YouTube vid where you can listen to the song if you're curious -- I was! Three companies were involved in this campaign, including Sardeau who produced the perfume. Don't know who made the bottle as the original label is on the base where any marks might be hiding. So I have a rare bottle of a perfume made especially to promote a song! I hope you enjoyed seeing this, thanks for looking!

[FYI: not related to the movie Suspicion, apparently, different music composer listed on the credits.]

Very interesting. Must have been well made perfume too if it still smells good - no cheap additives here!
