    This lamp was purchased by my grandfather at Gumps San Francisco in the 1930's. Hand carved mahogany and quite heavy. Equisite!!

      Actually, the base is made of hand carved mahogany, but the lady and lamp is solid cast pewter or a metal common to Japanese castings of the early 1900s. Just incredible attention to detail and of a museum quality and investment quality!
