(1 item)
The cake plate is separate to the outer ring and is approx. 8" dia. and 1 1/4" deep. On the bottom it has "Happy Birthday".
The outer ring is approx. 10 3/4" dia (outside) and 1 1/4" deep. As can be seen in the photos it has a slot which the animals (2 x Butterflies, 2 x Rabbits, 1 x Chicken, 1 x Moose) and candle holders (3) sit.
The two items may not have come together, I don't know.
Age wise I also do not know. I always remember it at my Grandmothers/Grandfathers house basically for as long as I can remember, so through the 1960's. I don't know whether she bought them when we kids arrived or in fact whether they were passed down from earlier generations.
The other strange thing is that they both do not have any markings on them to indicate "Brand", "Model", "Type" etc..
The one I refer to as a "outer ring" with the animals and candle holders I honestly do not know what to refer to it as. Decorative cake ring?
They appear to be made from ceramic or maybe porcelain. I am no expert.
Can anyone help me on identifying these items and possible history?
