"Old Ladies Sitting Room"

Yesterday I was bored so I started to move furniture around in the front room.....trying to figure out my layout once all remodeling is done.

The two high back chairs and the game table sitting between them is my recent flea market finds.

The Lane Cedar Chest in pic#1 I have had about 13yrs $25.00 find at a yard sale.

The box on top of the chest (the plant is sitting on) has three wooden drawers with Siam Bronze Flatware....all pieces there. Also a flea market find.

Everything except the Mirror, Rug and Floor lamp are all thrift store or flea market finds.

The area rug will be replaced with a solid color rug.
the floors will be stained a shade darker than they are in the pic's/
chair rail going up with the bottom being an antique white color and above the chair rail will be a color....haven't decided which color yet.

After playing around with the layout I sent my hubby a pic via text message and said.... this is how I want to layout this side of the room and said it looks like an Old Ladies Room....look that I'm going for.

Now in picture #2 you will see two white signs on the chairs which states;
"Dusty Old Thing Parking" and "Mean Old Thing Parking"
My "Stubborn Old Man" thinks he is so funny!!!!
He snuck those signs there when he came home from work and came into the family room and said "go look at you chairs".
The "Dusty Old Thing" is my sister Wanda who lives with us and "Mean Old Thing" is me.
I did get a good laugh out of it though...

See why I say no "Men" allowed in my "Sitting Room" once it's done.
