Hi. I picked this tie bar up today and have no idea which country it is from. As you can see, it is a rifle with a crown and an unknown insignia underneath. Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks, Donna

The language is Arabic. The country is still in question because Arabic is spoken in most Middle Eastern countries.
I have forwarded the photo to a friend in Morocco (speaks Arabic) so he should be able to identify it. In the meanwhile, maybe somebody here will come along and be able to help.
You're way off I'm afraid. It's the Gothic letter "H". The crown is a Swedish royal crown and the H stands for Husqvarna. Gunsmiths among other hardware, mortorcycles and chain saws. http://cybermotorcycle.com/images/marques/thumbs/tn_husqvarna-logo-vintage.jpg
Olof beated me :-)
I was searching among old alphabets like this one :

BRAVO!
The rifle is Husqvarnas famous "älgstudsare", moose hunting rifle. That logo was in use 1912-1972, during the time Husqvarna made guns and motorcycles for the Swedish military, hence the royal crown.
Thanks kyrantango, quite similar the old English and Gothic fonts. Made me think of the definition of Swedes; Germans who believe they are British..!
Thanks for all the help. Should have recognized the Swedish crown to start with!
Odd. My friend did say it was Arabic. Hmmm...
I'm happy it's solved!
