Today I saw this unique pin. It is a micro mosaic pin. The back is stamped made in Italy and it is tin. The pin latch is kind of crude-- it appears to be a safety pin. This pin was very dirty, the last photo is a "before" picture. I cleaned it gently and will let the cement dry before I clean it some more. The tiles are glass, tiny millefiori beads. The pin measure 1 3/4 inches.
I remember having a mosaic pin as a child, I guess I was feeling nostalgic.
