Love this necklace I was told they no longer make jewelry with cinnabar because it has mercury
I will be looking in to this a little more I am looking for the value on this and any other information I can get
I have one of these also. It was a present from my dad do you have any idea what it is worth?
No I been trying to find out not to long ago I did see one with no cinnabar it had a good price
Thank you for your help that’s more information than I was able to find you can help me out any time
I have the exact same necklace. Was a gift to my mother-in-law from my father-in-law. Assume he purchased it while serving in the Navy in Japan.
Watch out, as there is a lot of fake Cinnabar out there. Usually a form of plastic. Do the hot needle test to see if you get a plastic smell. This one looks fancy and less likely to be "fake". It is a popular design in Asia and I don't think it is worth more than 200 dollars...BUT I am not a jeweler nor an appraiser.
I love it and want one too.
I have already taken into the Jewelry store it is all real I was looking at a website today that had one like mine and this is it here **************
