According to the proprietor of this booth, this water dish tells an interesting story of how Britain's middle class developed before America's. Being able to afford to make products for dogs was a strictly a function of societal wealth and came along with the development of the middle class - first in the U.K.
I thought that was an interesting take on things... my thought process would have been: "do dogs really want to drink soapy water?"
