I love stuffed toys. Today, at a local thrift shop, I saw this giant bear sitting on the floor. For FREE. There were a number of other humongous stuffed toys but this bear was the nicest one. I can't remember if this particular sort of bear has a name. Small children like to sit and be cuddled by this bear. The horse is 40 cm high and called Galupy. Made in Berlin by Diddl. I paid 35 cents for him. Galupy loves Bear. The cat is is almost vintage, with green glass eyes. She is being aloof, like most cats of her particular breeding. The small pillow was a gift from a friend years ago. I also have a big gray poodle named George who is 60 years old this year. I got him when I was three, and he has been everywhere with me.
Thanks for looking, CW friends!
That's a big teddy :)....I picked up a regular size one by Gund the other day in quite good shape. His name is Quintin and they have discontinued him already. Not really valuable like a Steiff but still collectible.
Mike - I also have a Gund bear which I picked from the trash on Big Garbage Day by my mom's place in Coatesville, PA in 2008. His name is Schatzi, #15024, and he was much too nice to be sitting out with the trash!
Awwww.... want cuddles now!
They are all cute, and I don't know why, but I was sure it was your post when saw it!
kyra - I have a number of interests, jewelry being the main one, but do love stuffed toys! I think this bear is just lovely. Not cheap if bought from a shop.
Nicefice - this big boy is definitely relaxed. I expect my cat, Luna, to be settled against him this evening. :-)
Nicefice - Luna decided to sleep downstairs, in my chair, last night. What a finicky cat, lol!
He's a comfort bear - for love and huggles.
I like your aloof cat too but it's Galupy I really love. I absolutely identify with him!
All very cute. [;>)
racer - that bear was not going to sit one second longer on that cold tile floor in the thrift shop, lol! Galupy was in the next room, in a box. Poor thing. I often have days where I feel "galupy", too...
:-D
thanks for the love/comments, everybody!
