This little beauty is marked with the eagle mark and "Mexico".
The blue beads could be plastic because they are just too perfect.

    Thanks for looking:)

Definitely not plastic. :-) What's the number inside the Eagle stamp?

This is a very nice piece. How do the beads feel to the tooth? I have seen "perfect" turquoise, it is highly prized in jewelry. I'm going with turquoise.

Thanks a lot for your comments, efesgirl and Emme. It is reall hard to tell because the blue stones are small and deeply set. I could try to scratch them with a needle but I don't want to damage them. I am rather happy about the find no matter what the little blue stones are. Inside the eagle is, what appears to me, the number 7. There is a mark, kind of a dot, in front of the 7 but it could be random mistake or a partial number.

You can feel the difference between stone and glass on your teeth. Somewhere online there has to be a "how-to-tell" guide that could explain it better than I can. I have seen turquoise that looks like that, and if the pin is from before the mid-1960's.... then maybe.

Yes, rucklczglass, I once saw a beautiful ring giant pure turquoise surrounded by diamonds. I think it cost more than the sum total of my earnings....

      Beautiful brooch, freiheit! :)

Not sure if you've seen this explanation re the number in the eagle stamp, FWIW:

Mary, I would love to see your bracelet! I am glad I am not the only one who is not sure LOL

Katherinescollections, thanks for the link. I am really bad when it comes to checking marks. To me, they all look alike and I get very frustrated.
