My friend has this bowl which he dug up near a Buddhist temple while installing a new fence about 20 years ago. We were just recently look at it and was wondering how old it is and from what Origen, is it valuable? Anyone with any information on we're it might be from would be appreciated. It has some like spiral design etched inside and to be made of brass an silver I don't have it in my persesion so can't give to much detail
looks like it might be a singing bowl but hard to tell. Does it make a pretty sound if you bang the side with a mallet-type thing? if you look up singing bowls on the internet you might find the design and you can plug in the dimensions to narrow down the search.
Hi Jean, I think you might be right as it dose resemble a singing bowl and dose make a ringing sound. ive had a look on the internet but can't find anything with same pattern or really resembles it. I think the pattern will determine were its from.
