Here is an old Ice Box made by Ice Palace circa 1930's we found at my Great Aunts house. It is all there but I haven't decided whether to restore it or not.

Guess the drip pan was gone ? They often are. I would restore since all the other parts are apparently there.

I wish I had a picture of the drain pan. It is probably around somewhere. I could see where it mounted on the bottom but they had a drain hose adapted so they didn't have to empty the tray

This will be perfect to add to one of my novels!

How to describe a drip-pan ? They were just too perfect for using in the garage for washing greasy parts & usually gone when not using the icebox anymore.
It will be slightly more shallow that the distance from the drain & the floor & will have a lip around the top to prevent splashing over. Since it had to be carried out to dump, it would have handles. Doesn't that sound like the perfect solvent pan for washing oily parts in the garage ?

Maybe it's in her garage ?

They bought the house in 1957 so it is probably gone. This was wrapped in cardboard under the edge of the only shed we haven't cleaned out though. I will keep an eye out for it.
