Hello fellow collectors, I have this mystery Fiesta ware approx. 6" round water pitcher. It is not the shape or the maker is the mystery it is the color. I found it at an old barn sale. The owner said the barn was flooding and every stored in the giant barn had to go. I brought this pitcher to several Fiestaware dealers in my area for identification on year and description. They said they had never seen this color before and could not verify anything for me. There is no raised "H" under the logo. It is not numbered or stamped. The color is a light aqua. It is not the sea form green, grey or turquoise. I believe it is it's own unique color. Can anyone I. D.t his color?
I think this is what is known as the pearl gray color.

Hello and thank you for a response. I believe I have chosen the wrong color to photo the pitcher. My kitchen walls are 1950's turquoise. The color of the pitcher is very washed, or weak teal. I can put on a better photo (I hope).
That would help, a white background in daylight is best.
Every monitor sees color different as does the light the photo was taken in.
I looks to be Sea Mist green right now but without the turquoise background it could be the old gray or old turquoise.
The marks are pretty much the same on the juice pitcher except most newer ones will have an H at the bottom as see in the first link Efesgirl posted.
If all else fails, send Heidi a message and tell her you have an oddball color disk pitcher.

That's better. First I should correct myself, it looks like this is not a juice pitcher but the larger disc pitcher.
I'm going with the old turquoise, 1937 to 1969. A little lighter and paler than the current turquoise.

This may have been solved with the help of Ebay experts. Linked me to - http://www.laurelhollowpark.net/hlc/serenade.html. I have looked at it and I do believe this is the Serenade glaze. After reading the history of Homer Laughlin studies in glazes. It looks just like the test glazes on Fiestaware. I do believe this is a reject because I have taken macro picture of the irregularities of the mold. Let me know what users think? (I don't know how to link in url)
If this is a reject, then it would've had to come directly from the factory into someone's hands. A reject item would not have been sold in a store.
I did not mean as in bad reject but not something they were going to produce in the long run. I went into glaze archives. ( I actually took 2 years of glaze making in college, great classes) And found the reagents used in HLC colors. I also did not get to summit the pictures of the irregularities in the mold. One Fiestaware dealer said HLC would sell seconds. I can't say that is true. But I am still trying to contact Happy Heidi.
That's what I mean - it went from the factory (perhaps it was in the glaze archives, but there's no way to know that for certain) into someone's hands.

Hello there is a photo in a book on pottery and it show this pitcher and 4 tumblers in Serenade colors. The book states that the Fiesta juice set as well as some Kitchen Krafts were dipped in Serenade glazes. Apparently it was the rival to the Tu-Ray line of dishware.

The color looks like Seamist . I don't see the word Genuine fiestaware on it . That most likely means it is from the 1930's possibly early 40's. Nice find!
