I think this little fish is just lovely. It was quite dirty, and all the colors came up after I gave it a gentle washing. I just happened to spot it on the bottom shelf in the thrift shop. Not a clue as to it's age. I put it under Piggy Banks since there is no category for Savings Banks...
I've never seen a coin bank like this one. A shame that there's no maker's name on the bottom. I did an Image search and got nothing. I'm not putting any coins in it because I have no intention of breaking this beauty open to get at my money.
I had myself a VERY GOOD day in the thrift shop today, and will be posting more items.
Thanks for looking!
Agree, it's lovely!!!
It's a self satisfied fishy, and why not!
racer, the photos don't do justice to this fish. Twice as beautiful in person! Yes, the self-satisfied grin is justifiable for this fishy. A long and happy life ahead at my house! :-)
That second photo really shows him off, what a great little fishy you got there, Bonnie. :)
Awwesome little guy!
Are you sure he hadn't silicone injections?
Many women have now this "truit pout"
;-))
Oops trout pout!
LOL@kyratango!! :))
8-{|} Kath!
That's it, pick on my poor fish....hahaha! I was surprised to not find any damage. Unusual for thrift shop ceramic items.
I have reserved a table at a local flea market for April 24th and am taking along things which have lost their appeal or usefulness. This beautiful fish will have more room to "swim"!
There was a huge vintage flea in my hometown yesterday, rained in the morning but didn't deter the crowds. I love that part of San Diego, the houses and gardens are so beautiful. I didn't buy anything, lots of pretty things to look at, though. I hope you do well, good luck, my friend! :)
Thanks, kath! I found this link to another piece of pottery which has the same colors as my fish, and is also a fish.

Efesgirl, how do miss this one, fabulous fish, love it.....
BTW, no Blue Mountain Pottery in your area, I will more than happy to send you one, my pleasures.
