Going through some old boxes yesterday -- found a "double" frame containing photos of me and my older brother that were probably taken 1965-ish. As I have learned, you should always check old frames for "hidden" notes, treasures, etc.; well, apparently both Liz & Frank were the original "fillers" to sell these frames. Thought it was kind of neat, just thought I'd share with you; thanks, MFT
And the Oscar goes to this post!
LOL - who were you? Liz or Frank?
I have (or have had) a gajillion Sinatra books - I have NEVER see that particular photo. Very strange pose, too - what is he looking at? Could ha have posed for the frame company? And Liz looks a bit 'off' too, but here she is in that same dress (scroll down to 1960's):

I figured both of these photos were used as the frame "fillers" -- from already existing photographs, but I really don't know. I haven't even researched it; I'll have to have another look at the originals, but it says "Columbia USA, 4 way easel, 5x7, stands hangs 2 ways". Have no clue what all that means, LOL
Thanks for the love, Nicefice, mcheconi, PhilDMorris, and racer! Appreciate it, MFT
It meant that the frame was an easel type that could be placed on a table with the easel foot holding it up, and you could use it either as portrait or landscape orientation. OR you could hang it either way, too. So you could use it one of 4 ways.
Two of the most beautiful people ever!!!
beautiful pic of liz -- what a gal
Caperkid, fort, and epson - thanks for the loves. Epson and AmatoorPikr, I agree with you - two very beautiful people; the simple, youthful beauty of these two photos is very special, I believe; prior to age, stardom, celebrity life. (even though they remained beautiful throughout); Celiene, thanks - seems simple enough, I don't know why I made it so complicated LOL.
brunswick, kyratango, spiritbear - thanks for the loves; much appreciated!
ho2cultcha, AmatoorPikr - thanks for the loves; still haven't had time to research this one; hoping to work on this today (to see when these two sold their images to the frame company)
Sean, thanks for the love!
Your very welcome MyFavoriteTreasures!!
mikelv85, thanks for the love!
Thanks, Rick!
Manikin, thank you!
Goodejem, thank you!
What wonderful photos, the megastars of their era, and still admired today, at least by me, Liz for her great beauty and acting abilities, Frank for his incredible singing and acting talents as well. I wonder if the Columbia has anything to do with Columbia Pictures? Perhaps this was some sort of movie souvenir? Thanks for sharing, MFT! :)
That's interesting, Catherine - I hadn't thought of that! I just found it odd that they were "frame fillers" period - especially these two! What I love about them so much is that they seem to be "still innocent and young", before stardom and celebrity lifestyles kicked in and starts "showing" in their faces. But thanks for the love and insight, always appreciate your stopping by! and Trey, thank you also for the love!
Thanks Windwalker
