Vintage square. Feedback required

This is a 9" square I got rusted to all heck at the flea market. I could slightly see the deep Grove in the "h" of the handle. Asked how much the guy said a dollar. I figured it it was worth some wd-40 and a buck. This is what came up.... Some ornate scrollwork on the one side of the handle which looks hand done. Some initials which appear to be w h k on the opposite side of the handle. The number 187 under the initials. 2 visible letters at the 4 and a half mark "k w". The rest of the 4.5 area is far to pitted. I'd love so.e feedback as to the manufacturer.
