This is our current dining room set, bought several years ago at my favorite consignment store. We once again outgrew the figured walnut one I posted earlier.
I am stumped on this. Supposedly, it was handmade in Spain many years ago. I wouldn't be surprised as there is enough intricate carving on it to choke a horse. I had my favorite antique furniture repair shop do some work on one end of the table pedestal and they had never seen anything like it. They did confirm I t was mahogany which is what I had thought.
The table is 90" long and 36" wide. I think that would be considered more of a refractory table. I don't know. It has 6 side chairs and 2 armed chairs. The skirt around the table is very detailed. The table and China cabinet doors are both inlaid.
Can anybody help with dates, verify actual style or anything with this? It would be very much appreciated!
