    Here are some more railroad stocks with some lovely vignettes. Sometimes when railroads had a new batch or new series printed up they would "modernize" their certificates. You will notice that the newer CB&Q one (the blue one) was simplified and also a diesel replaced the steam locomotive. The early CB&Q is from the 30's, the diesel CB&Q is from the 50's, and the WB&E is from the 1890's.

      Hi Thomas! If you look at my posting from 2 months ago http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/177310-more-great-engravers-art?in=608 you will see that I show a beautiful certificate from the Peoria, Decatur & Evansville that dates from 1883. Interesting about General Grant. I live by NYC and have seen Grant's Tomb several times.
