Found this at GW for a buck. At first, I thought is was some cheap but pretty oriental piece because of the fairly coarse pontil scar, but then I saw how difficult the applies trim must have been, and then found the WG engraved on the bottom. It also has the number 10 engraved 180 degrees away from the initials. It stands 5 1/2" tall and 2 1/2" wide. Any help with an ID would be appreciated.
Interesting Fixit.
I have noticed that more and more glass artists leave a raw pontil scar these days, maybe to give a clear sign it has been mouth blown and hand made.
The signature on the side is a very Northern American thing.
I did find this on Etsy and I would say it's the same artist. No ID though sorry.

I saw the same post on etsy and thought it looked similar. It is a pretty little thing, and I would really like to find out who made it. About the pontil scar, I think you're right but I truly believe that doing the actual finish work(fire polishing, or grind and polish) makes for a much more professional presentation.
