Found this beauty at Savers in an Easter display this morning...well yesterday but I left it till today. I just wasn't sure what it was, but today I was brave and peeled back the price tag. Viola' a Murano label ! There's a ground but not polished pontil under the label. The rough oxidized finish is called "Scavo" or "excavated" which gives it the look of old buried Roman glass. The pink opalescent hue is beautiful with just a bit of lavender in it as well. A single band winds around the top connecting the two pale blue applied handles. No damage that I can see but lots of air bubbles and striations. Hope it's not a copy but I have a perfume bottle with the exact same label. I don't think it's very old maybe 80's but you never know. Could be mid-century and by one of the better makers. I've seen some that were made by Seguso. -Mike-

This could not be prettier. I think the scavo finish makes it so much more appealing than glossy glass and the trail/handle combo is beautiful. Great find Mike.

I'm just a little amazed you just found/posted this because of what I walked into this week. I took one HELL of a hit for the team! Straight off the bat I was pretty sure I should keep driving but I went all in. There was a large pink and white blown dish with a faded label and the guy said I think she had like 20 dollars on that. The rest is so bad. I mean vile. But I may have to go in there and get that!
      What's wrong with me? LOL!!!!

Hi Mike Nice piece. The label on it is a "Generic Murano Label - Current ". Pretty piece with nice soft colors.

Thank you Karen, Alan, and OGF @ Rose... I figured as much, but better new original than an old fake....lol.

Hi Lisa...that's pretty cool to have a similar piece. Scavo is Italian for "excavated". These pieces are supposed to look like old Roman excavated glass that's been in the ground for centuries.
