A Loetz "Phänomen Genre 1/473 Variant" vase with Floral Silver Overlay by Alvin. Creta ground with silver-yellow (blue iridescent) dots applied over the entire surface along with additional larger silver-yellow (blue iridescent) spots. 3 lobed rim and 3 thumb-print indentations.
Marks: (effaced A), STERLING M08, 925/1000 FINE, Small 28 etched into bottom of glass. 4.75 " Tall.
Loetz.com lists this as a variant of PG 1/473 decor category because of several Creta examples that all exhibit a decoration consisting of small silver-yellow dots applied over the entire vessel along with an additional application of much larger spots. The main difference between these examples and PG 1/473 is that the spots on PG 1/473 are all similar in size. This observation most likely indicates that it is probably an unidentified decor, but for now will be listed as a variant of PG 1/473.
