Hi there:
This post is for ~ raleigh320 ~here is mine> I actually have 4, 2 single dishes with ruffles....and also the serving tray. Was told these were Federal Glass....but Indiana Glass did something the same. So who knows these days. Guess always best to have the label, if possible....LOL
Anyhooooooow, 4u2c....
Thanks for LOOKING // LOVING
~ Rose ~
I never find any as pretty as this one!
Oh these are lovely, Rose!!! Perhaps TallCakes can tell you for sure who made them. :)
I base the Federal attribution on this 1947 ad:
http://www.ndga.net/advertising/federal1947.jpg
tho' I can find no confirmation of a name for the pattern, "R" does have it in many colors of glass listed as 'Traditions':
http://search.replacements.com/search/?query=federal+traditions
given the c1939-40 patent date for the clover dish in the same ad as this bonbon I surmise the bonbon also dates back to around 1940, but was made in various colors for many years.
I've not really seen anything by Indiana Glass that matches this bonbon; tho' the motif is similar to 'Diamond Point'...
@ TallCakes -- Thank you fro your Reply. These were my Granny's, then my Mom, now Mine. I remember them being using to serve Dainties back in the older days when entertaining company was a real treat and you brought old the serving trays to *serve* your guests. Just did not throw some cookies on a plate. Mine you ( back then ) people did a lot more Home ( yummy ) baking then...LOL. Again Thank you TallCakes !!!!
@katherinescollections --> Thanks for the Reply!! Yup, just another thing from my cupboards here......Family item

I'm not a big fan of milk glass Rosie, but what makes this stand for me is the brown edges... lovely piece!
Hi Rose, so glad you posted this and TC identified it. A friend bought me one of these last week and I have been looking for it. It is a single and the color is well I don't know. Black or green tint. Hard to tell.
