This little vase looks a lot better in real life. The yellow stripes look like a juicy lemon! The vase is very delicate and appears to be hand-made. Based on the dirt that accumulated on the vase it must be at least a decade or more old. It did, however, clean up well and is in perfect shape.
I am no expert on glass so for all I know this vase could be anything: old, vintage, recent import….
I bought it because it will look great with some spring flowers.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for looking:)
Love that yellow! I bet it looks great in real life. I think of this kind of shape on a clear foot as Italian. It'll be interesting to see what others think, & whether I'm a 100000 miles away:). It looks like it has age to me.
Thanks a lot, martika and Vintagefran:)
How pretty! Looks like a 1950s design.
Reminds me of EMPOLI Glass from Italy...

Vintagefran, thaks a lot for your comment. You could be correct. I hope to find out more. Too bad that there is mark or sticker on it. But then again, that would be too easy, wouldn't it?
Thanks for your comment, Efesgirl!
Antiquerose, thanks for the link. I had a look and I can see how my vase reminds you of this type of glass. I will keep looking until I find one like mine:)

Looks pretty darn good in the photos, to me! Really LOVE this piece! What a GREAT find! How much did you pay for this, if I may (rudely???) ask? {;>)
NevadaBlades, Thanks for the comment. The colour is what attracted me to this vase. It is kind of canary yellow and really makes me happy.
I don't mind you asking how much I paid. I got it for $2.99 plus tax. In US dollars it's even less:)
How come I never can find such deals?!!? I just paid 12 bucks for a ceramic pitcher by Fiesta at the thrift shop that's probably not worth more than 5 bucks!!!
lol............Way to go, EH?
Thanks for your comment, NevadaBlades. I am mostly a bargain shopper. The bad thing about this is that I have missed out on great items because I was too cheap to spend a bit more. There are a few items I really regret not getting - but don't get me started...
The thing is that in these places one has to make a decision fast or it's gone! I, too, have bought stuff I regret buying. But I don't take it as a big problem because I either give it to my children; at least one shares my passion for antique and vintage stuff, or I donate it back to Value Village. The only problem I had was when I donated my daughter's brand new winter boots by mistake. Good thing she is in Martinique and didn't need them this year - LOL
