I like these for the combination of red and green translucent glass. More particularly I love that Welz thing of taking a familiar shape and adding to it in seemingly endless different ways. Thus I now have examples of Welz rigaree or applied fee, in clear, amber, peach and green glass. I'm continually surprised by what I find!
ANOTHER STUNNER!!
SEAN, big thank you.....not being in a spatter décor makes this less usual I think.
<<<< ...DROOLING ...... >>>>
I need a bib for my drool.....LOL
BEAUTIFUL WELZ!!
scott
lol antiquerose, if it's any help I'm quite good at sewing!
I agree, scott! Thank you.
What I like is how the shapes allow us to see that Welz also worked with some simple decors. Décors that we could never really confirm without know some of the more distinct Welz shapes.
The fascination for me is the new décors that turn up, like these vases. Equally I come across totally new shapes on décors I know. Here in the UK neither occurrence is all that rare.
Thanks for the loves, SEAN, antiquerose, welzebub, Ivonne, Manikin, swfinluv, aura and vetraio.
These are all really gorgeous Sklo. You are right. Great finds like real estate are always a matter of location... location... location ! :)
Just great aren't they Peggy! Love the rigaree.
Hi Mike, I'm in the right place for this stuff, if nothing else, Peggy.
Hi Karen, your comment surprised me. I never would have thought to hear you say, 'Love the rigaree'. I was put off by rigaree for years.....but now I think I just had a closed mind!
ha Peggy - you know me well. Indeed I am not a frills sort of girl but I must say rigaree has grown on me and now I adore it's frilly fun. Besides, it's such an awesome word....
Thanks for the loves, mikelv, racer, Justanovice, VioletOrange. Michelle and smiata. Appreciated as ever!
