I won this antique framed photograph of a group of apple orchard workers earlier today. It seems to be in the original frame, but I am afraid to remove the backing to see if there is any information listed on the back of the photograph. I don't know much more about it other than what you see here.

What year would you guys guess this is from? Thanks, and I hope you enjoy checking it out!

Tall lady in the center is wearing the classic Gibson Girl hair-do.

But her hemline looks around 1905.

You have photographer information on the front-- bottom right.

If it is US, the format and mount is typical of about 1895- 1910 time period. Could be a little later if non- US.

Thanks for the comments guys. Oh, and scottvez, good lord, I have no clue how I completely missed the photographer information. I won this item, took a picture focusing mainly on the image itself and the back of the frame and I totally missed that bit of information on the edge! I'll be taking a closer look at that when I get home, maybe get a better picture of it also.

I'm pretty sure it's US, I still think it's a place local to me. I will see soon!

Ok, I just added a closeup of the information we found. I know it says Lakeland, Fla on the bottom, but the top part I can't make up. Anyone care to give it a shot?

It is the photographer-- your photo doesn't blow up enough to show a readable name. If you add a higher resolution jpg of the name, I'd be happy to look again.

Still not that clear-- best guess is Ward Pinder.

Is "apple orchard" just a guess ? I'm not a botanist, but do know FL is not an apple growing region.
