This bolo tie came in a huge box of vintage jewelry from a friend that used to have his own antique store. The box has been in storage for over 20 years, so I know it's at least that old. He wasn't able to offer any information about where it came from or anything else.
There are no markings on this piece at all. I do think that it is a handmade piece. As far as I can tell, it is Sterling silver.
The biggest question I suppose, is what is this rock cluster in the center?? Pictures do not do it any justice. They are a very deep emerald green and appear to be one solid piece, encased with Sterling feathers. I have considered taking it to a jeweler, but have never gotten around to it.
The rock cluster is roughly 1 1/2"x 1 1/4" and the bottom Sterling tassles are 2 1/2".
Has anyone seen a bolo like this? Any insight would be appreciated! I posted this in the Native American fine jewelry section, as that was my best guess.
I can not offer any insight to the stones. The piece is quite remarkable. The tie keepers on the back and the detail on the silver tips lead me to believe it is quite old. Absolutely spectacular! Love it!
Beautiful piece!
Could be dioptase crystals!

I can just tell it is a crystal growth and quite beautifully done !
Great Bolo love to see it worn
Thank you everyone for the input! I really do love this piece. The giant pop of green brings out the silver details nicely. It's truly one of a kind to me.
I took a look at kyratango's suggestion of dioptase crystals and I think that very well could be what they are. The depth of the green deems this as an appropriate match.
Oh how I was hoping for emeralds also Valentino!
