As a child I used this cookie jar. I have no idea who made it or when. I was born in 1959 and my sister was born in1952 and she remembers this jar.

It says there [ QUOTED from above Link ];;
"Vintage and rare cookie jar made by the Canuck Pottery Co. of Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada. Canuck Pottery was a spin off Foley Pottery. The Foleys were a family that originated in England and were known for their quality pottery. The cookie jar is shaped like a whiskey jug and the lid is the handle. It has a white glaze on the outside and a brown glaze on the inside. It has a painting of an adorable little African American girl feeding her puppy cookies from a cookie jar. It is 10 1/2" tall and has a 21" radius. There is crackling all over due to age. The bottom is rough but you can see where it says Saint John, N.B. Canuck Pottery Canada. It has what looks to be a white paint drip on the handle. It is a vintage item so you definitely see rough spots and imperfections but it does not take away from the charm and authenticity of the piece. I have seen other Canuck cookie jars but I have not been able to find any others like this so I believe it is a very rare cookie jar."" [ End of Quote ]
