I came across this amazing table at my place of employment. It has been here for years and i've been told that it was once used by Theodore Roosevelt when California became the 31st state. I did some due diligence and California's Admission day was 09/09/1850. At this time, Millard Fillmore was the president. So the information I was given was incorrect but there must be some sort of historical significance. The woodwork on this table is amazing and i'm assuming the 13 stars represented the 13 colonies. I was even able to find a picture of Theodore Roosevelt on a chair almost identical to the one above. The underside of the table is inscribed with "TALLER DE ESCULTURA Y MARMOLERIA - DE CASTILLO Y COMP. - Calle Villaobos No. 50 Quiapo." If anyone could provide some insight or information on this table and chairs, it would be greatly appreciated.
