This bowl is a bit unusual. So far I have found many bowls like this in the Monbijou style but non with this pattern. It is a serine landscape with a lake and a boat.
The bowl is in mint condition even though it is around 100 years old - if I got the back mark correct:) There was also written in permanent marker “Grandma Black” which I removed carefully. I guess this was the name of the previous owner.
There is a line in the picture but it is only some of the cobalt blue paint that somehow appeared.
Thanks for looking:)
That Rosenthal mark came into being in 1896, so your beautiful bowl could have been made in that year.

Thanks so much for your comment and the link, Efesgirl. When I saw the bowl, I was sure that it was old, but I didn't know how old. I was surprised to find out that it could be 100+ years old because it is in impeccable shape.
Rosenthal doesn't seem to be popular here in Canada but I do remember that it has a good reputation in Germany.
Many thaks for the love, AmatoorPikr:)
Thanks a lot, aura, mikelv85, kyratango, Trey, antiquerose, and racer4four:)
Thanks you very much, Manikin and katherinescollections:)
I live 15 minutes from the German border and have Rosenthal plates and one beautiful old covered bowl from that dates from the 1940s or 1950s. It's posted here. I don't have any Rosenthal as old or as beautiful as this serving dish!
I guess we are kind of neighbours:)
I studied in Potzdam but I am from the south (former East Germany), very close to the Chech border.
I will search your posts to look for your Rosenthal:)
Many thanks, vetraio50:)
Many thanks, SEAN68:)
Thanks a lot, martika:)
