I have a pair of these which were cut loose from a large Illinois collection. They're about 23" tall, dark ruby/red, and they have an interior bulb also, which could be wired separately. There are nom marks that I could find. The plug is polarized, and the main socket has a UL mark and was made in Asia. The inside socket was possibly made in Germany (I lack adequate magnification). The screws which connect the spider arms to the mounting ring have 4mm threads, indicating a possible European heritage.
Nothing definitive can be inferred from any of the clues, in my view. I know that some sellers would have no qualms about asserting that the lamps are antiques, were made in Bohemia, and the Moser firm crafted them (like all the mantle lusters on PayBay >snort< ). I, however, cannot do so.
I hope somebody can point me in the right direction for some info
